Are you thinking about what to do this weekend? We propose a plan to enjoy with your family or friends. The Sitges Film Festival starts on October 3rd 2019. It is a great exhibition of movies, so it will be difficult to choose which one to see, so let’s make it a little easier for you.
The Sitges festival will be held once again, we are ready to receive the 52nd edition of this event. It is a place that becomes the meeting point of people who are passionate about cinema. The Sitges festival will show up to 35 titles in competition. The varieties of the genres presented are: terror, science fiction, intrigue and fantasy. We can watch the ‘Color out of space’, by Richard Stanley, director of ‘Hardware’, with Nicolas Cage. Or ‘Samurai Marathon’, the intriguing assault on the period drama with Japanese landscape of the British Bernard Rose. Or ‘Le daim’, the last absurd delirium of Quentin Dupieux. Or ‘The lodge’, probable confirmation of the Veronica Franz / Severin Fiala tandem. Another option will be ‘Bloodline’, by Henry Jacobson; ‘Swallow’, by Carlo Mirabella-Davis, there will also be options for state directors without fear of risk and adventure: there are ‘El hoyo’, by Galder Gaztelu-Urrutia; ‘Paradise Hills’, by Alice Waddington, alias of a Bilbao filmmaker; or ‘Amigo’, by Óscar Martín, described by the production manager as ‘Untouchables’.
How to get to Sitges?
There are several options to get to Sitges from the city of Barcelona. If you travel during the day, you are more likely to want to travel by train, which is the cheapest and fastest option. Starting from the Station of France, Passeig de Gracia or Sants, we can take the R2 Sud train both the one that goes to Vilanova i la Geltrú (from sants there are 8 stops) and the one that goes to Sant Vicenç de Calders (4 stops). The landscape of Castelldefels beach to Sitges is very beautiful (especially the return trip because you are closer to the beach).
