Enjoy the summer in Sitges!
Sitges is one of our favorite cities of the entire coast of Barcelona. A beautiful and charming old fisher town you can go to by car or public transport, it is very close by!
It is a place full of stories, the streets, white houses and wonderful people are going to make it a unique experience for you. There are thousands of places with a special mystique, small places that sell beautiful things and other businesses with delicious gastronomic offers. You can also enjoy the beach and eat at a nice place while you enjoy the sea and the sun with a beer and some tapas.
It is often said that Sitges has its own microclimate. In many occasions, when in Barcelona it is cloudy, in Sitges it can be completely clear, without clouds and pure sunshine! This means that tourists can get to know Sitges at all times. Do you want to go in winter? You can also do it! It’s not so cold! The church of San Bartolomé and Santa Tecla, better known as “La Punta”, has become one of the most recognized in the city. It is located on a small hill with a view towards the beach and the city. Local vendors fill the stairs leading to the church and sell handmade souvenirs. You will also be struck by the unusual structure: two bell towers and the shortest one has the clock that indicates the time to the whole city.
The beaches in Sitges are, without a doubt, one of the biggest attraction of the coastal city. The most prominent beaches in Sitges include Platja de Sant Sebastià, Platja de la Fragata, and Platja de las Anquines where you can try kayaking, swimming, and doing water aerobics. If you decide to visit Sitges during a season that is not summer, you can enjoy a quiet picnic with the sound of the waves.

How to get there by train?
There are three main train stations in Barcelona that offer a service that goes to Sitges: Estació de França, Passeig de Gràcia and Estació Sants. The C2 train travels from Franca to Passeig de Gràcia to Sants and then to Sitges. The final destination of the train is Vilanova i la Geltru or St. Vincenç de Calders: these are the names you should look for in the departure panels and in the front of the train instead of Sitges.
Are you ready to get to know Sitges?! You will love it.
