Happy Halloween!
Trick or Treat?! Haven’t got plans for tonight yet? Be prepared to be scared! Halloween is a fun celebration many people have been waiting for all year. Do you like to disguise and listen to horror stories? You will see that spending this day in Barcelona is something different and there are lots of things to do! In my opinion, it’s one of the best cities to spend Halloween!
The classic celebration of Catalonia is called La Castanyada. It’s a popular party of the communities of Catalonia, Aragon, Valencia and the Balearic Islands, traditionally held on the All Saints’ Day. Families and friends come together to eat chestnuts, sweets made from marzipan called ‘panellets’, and drink cava or muscatel.
In this blog post we will show you the best activities for Halloween in Barcelona.
Port Aventura
The most famous amusement park in Catalonia is dressed in black and all the best-known horror stories characters are walking around in the park during these days. The coolest monsters and the walking dead are ready for the great parade of the day: Port Aventura Halloween Parade!
Barcelona Horror Tour
Do you know that Barcelona hides crimes and stories full of terror? The dramatized route organized by the Barcelona History Tour company will show you the deepest secrets of the city. Be prepared and definitely be scared!
Poble Espanyol, Terror en familia
The monumental complex of Montjuïc will host from 11-17h activities with the darkest atmosphere: tunnel of terror, costume contest, children’s make-up, theatrical show, the classic trick or treat and a choreography of fear with more than 100 zombies. Admission is free for minors and will cost 5 euros for adults living in Catalonia.
