Top 5 viewpoints in Barcelona!
During your stay in Barcelona you cannot miss the fabulous views from the famous viewpoints, where you can see the whole city from above! Some people recommend to go during the day and others by night, where the city is bright and quiet. The truth is that both landscapes are very nice and I recommend doing it at both times! The ideal plan would be to combine the fantastic view with a good talk between friends, family or with your couple, it will be a moment that you will always remember! From above you can see the octagonal streets, which are a characteristic of the city, the sea and the mountains. Barcelona is a city with many different viewpoints, so you have no excuses for not doing it! Below I will detail all the information of these 5 special places.
Park Güell
The Park Güell is an icon of the city and its known to be one of the most beautiful viewpoints of Barcelona, the Turó de les Tres Creus. The hill of the tree crosses is the highest part of Park Güell, where Gaudí wanted to build a chapel but couldn´t do it. It is a place full of art! Trust me, you definitely have to go and check it out! Park Güell is a place full of green and fantastic views of the neighborhood of Gracia and Sagrada Familia. I recommend to dedicate half day to know this tourist site and another to be able to appreciate the views!

Bunkers del Carmel
It is not one of the most visited places by tourists but I assure you that it is one of the most special places in Barcelona. You can see the Sagrada Familia from above and see how its peaks stand out among the other buildings in the city, Gaudí’s masterpiece can be seen from the top! Many people say it is the best viewpoint, mandatory to sit down and watch the city from above. During the Civil War an antiaircraft battery was built here to defend Barcelona from the fascist attack and today you can guess the positions of these bunkers, thanks to the fact that some walls and floors remain standing.
Location: It is located in the Carmel, located in Turó de la Rovira and can be accessed through the Es Guinardó Park. The best part is that it is open 24 hours a day and it’s free! Bus V17 “Gran Vista – Pl de la Mitja Lluna”.

The castle of Montjuic is another point from where you can see the whole city, located on the top of the mountain of Montjuic! It was used as a military fortress and after the Civil War it was used as a military museum as well. It is one of the best panoramic views of Barcelona, and now you will have to check it out! You can see the port, the city, the coast and the endless Mediterranean sea. It is a very nice place to go, with lots of green and history. Even in the summer it is used for cultural events, such as an outdoor cinema!
Location: There are different ways to access. It can be reached by walking or by vehicle. Highway of Montjuïc 66. Metro L3 “Parallel”.
Sagrada Familia
Another work by Gaudí that nobody could miss is the Sagrada Familia, still under construction but it is a mandatory stop. The viewpoint from the top balcony is incredible. You can see the whole city, going up in an elevator to one of the pinnacles that are raised in the basilica. Every day they receive miles of tourists but few of them are the ones who dare to climb one of their towers. Are you going all the way to the top? You will definitely love it! You can see all of the surrounding Eixample neighborhood, since it is the tallest building in the area.

Tibidabo
Surely they recognize it for being the oldest amusement park in Barcelona, but it’s not just that! Tibidabo has a viewpoint that is about 500 meters high, infront of the beautiful church. It is considered the highest peak of the Sierra del Collserola. Many people agree that it is one of the nicest viewpoints of Barcelona, so do not hesitate to check it out!
